In announcing the engagement of Hanita Blair to serve as Bet Havarim's Cantorial Soloist and Song Leader, Shindler said, "Hanita Blair brings to Bet Havarim a wealth of experience and talent in Jewish music and education."

Currently serving as Cantor, Spiritual Leader, and Educator at Temple Brith Sholom in Cortland, Mrs. Blair has taught vocal music at Syracuse Hebrew Day School, Temple Adath Yeshurun, The Combined School, The Epstein Hebrew High School, and Temple Brith Sholom. In addition Mrs. Blair has served Temple Brith Sholom, Temple Adath, and Temple Concord as Bar/Bat Mitzvah Tutor.
