Bet Havarim’s next Shabbat service will be conducted on Friday evening, August 20th, at St. David's Episcopal Church on Jamar Drive in Dewitt. The service begins at 7:30PM followed by an Oneg Shabbat reception.
"At a recent committee meeting, plans were finalized for our High Holy Day services," said Bet Havarim's High Holy Day committee member, Marty Morganstein. "We are looking forward to welcoming Rabbi Deborah Waxman as she returns to Bet Havarim to conduct our services."
Bet Havarim's Shabbat Committee is currently planning Shabbat Services for August as well as the fall months. "Our committee is looking forward to welcoming Professor Keith Bybee of Syracuse University's Maxwell School to our October Shabbat Service," said Mel Shindler, Shabbat Committee chairman. "Our plans at this time also include our second annual Hanukah celebration featuring music by the Keyna Hora Klezmer Band."
The public is cordially invited to Bet Havarim's monthly Shabbat services, which are conducted on the third Friday evening of the month, beginning at 7:30PM at St. David's Episcopal Church located on Jamar Drive, off Maple Drive, in Dewitt. The Church is handicapped accessible.
